Wonderful series of photos and amazing zine from your group photo walk - which is in my manor and I see there’s a photo of the best bagel shop in town as well! Some familiar scenes for me there. Would love to join a similar walk in Whitechapel if it happens again. Thanks for sharing.
Ah thank you Dawud. It was my first time walking around that part of Whitechapel. Loved the street market and the diversity. There's some interesting architecture too! Look for @wearephotosocial on instagram and message Sarah there, she manages the group and organises photowalks. Would be great to have you in one of them!
Amazing. I’ll definitely look out for that. I’ve walked around there many times with the camera, especially during market days. I had a studio space in the old Truman brewery many years ago, but now run a project for adults with learning disabilities just round the corner from Brick Lane. It’s beautifully multicultural and full of colour, life and food!
Thanks Pierre François, I don't think I could improve on what you said on your last newsletter. And ues, I love the challenge of building something out of random snaps.
Thank you Marcel, totally agree with you. Pretty much from anything we can build an interesting narrative if we edit and layout our projects creatively.
Welcome back! I love the zines and the colorful paper. It fit’s the occasion and the photographs. And it’s a great reason to practice zine making. I am a solitary photographer too, but going for a walk with other photographer can be inspiring and fun from time to time.

Thank you for the shoutout, I appreciate it! 🤍
Anytime!
Good stuff, Xavi. I need to get one of my zine ideas going. Yours are definitely inspiring.
Thank you Dan, glad to read and yes, go for it!
Fun to read your thoughts on group photo walks :-) and thanks for the mention, Xavi.
I love the idea of making something out of the images from a walk.

Amo la foto de las verduras 🫶🏽✨🧡
Great article. Love it that you took the occasion and turned it into a zine. Next to the result it is a good practise in building a narrative.

i think that talking/writing about your process of making a zine is beneficial for you and your readers
Good points!
Oh, and thank you for the shoutout!
